Under the ramparts of the Kalemegdan fortress, on September 3, 1939, a wheeled battle was being prepared that had nothing to do with the Second World War. The Silver Arrows, cars that are the forerunners of today’s Formula 1, flew over the cobblestones and narrow streets of Kalemegdan, and were driven by some of the biggest names in auto-moto racing at the time. Tazio Nuvolari, a driver from Italy is the first and only conqueror of the Belgrade circuit around Kalemegdan, and thanks to the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, AMSS, the Italian Institute of Culture and Motor Heritage Consulting, we will again witness the legendary race on Sunday which will bring as many as 20 historical vehicles from museums and private collections from Italy, Serbia and Slovenia to the streets of the capital. We are waiting for you on September 3 at 9 a.m. at the exhibition race “Belgrade Grand Prix 2023 – round race around Kalemegdan”. The Silver Arrows fly again!
